H2Office is an 18,000 sq. ft. office building built to accommodate the office and laboratory requirements for a high-tech client located in the SmartPark campus in Winnipeg. The energy efficient mechanical system includes an underfloor air distribution system utilizing the raised floor system to extend range of free cooling operations, high efficient boilers, variable speed fans and pumps. The careful integration of the mechanical system to fit the overall architectural vision of a linear bridge element spanning a retention pond contributed to the overall design success. This project was the recipient of several architectural design awards, including the Prairie Design Award of Excellence in 2010.
