Epp Siepman Engineering were the mechanical consultants for Qaumajuq, the new Inuit Art Centre at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, which is home to the largest public collection of contemporary Inuit art in the world. The first phase of this project included the replacement of the central boiler and chiller plant to meet current code and building needs, and to add capacity for the new Inuit Art Centre addition. Phase 2 was the construction of the addition, a 40,000 s.f. facility on four levels, including vaults, theatre, public education areas, and a 7,500 s.f. main gallery. The addition connects to the WAG on each level. The project opened to the public in March 2021.
